“Opportunities multiply as they are seized.”

–  Sun Tzu

“I try to learn something new every day and continually challenge myself to keep an open mind,” says Carlee about her approach to work and life.  Coming to BMS from the banking industry and with experience in sales, operations, finance, and accounting, it was pretty obvious that Carlee would be a good fit at Black Mountain Software.  But it is her passion for and understanding of the importance of customer service that makes her a GREAT fit.  And Carlee thinks Black Mountain is a great fit for her as well, commenting, “I am grateful for the opportunity to work for a wonderful organization that cares about its clients and employees. I feel lucky to be a part of a company that is constantly growing and changing to meet customer needs.”

Ask Carlee about her interests, and she’ll launch into a lengthy list that reflects her love of variety, activity, and challenge. Music, art, reading, science, yoga, hiking, snowboarding, rafting, and spending time with family and friends are toward the top of her list. How often do you run across a young woman who loves finance, plays several musical instruments, and is also an experienced white water rafting guide? That’s our Carlee!

Small Town Story:

Carlee grew up in a small North Dakota town,  and is now one of a surprising number of Black Mountain Software employees who ended up in Montana’s Mission Mountain Valley because it is where her spouse grew up. She says that she loves living in a small town because “you know your neighbor is always willing to help. Whether it is a barn fire, coming home from military service and needing extra care, someone falling ill, or an accident that causes chaos for a family, the people in this community rally together and find a way to get help to those who need it. That’s a good feeling, and something I’m proud to be a part of.”

Community Service:

  • Mission Valley Aquatics Center – Fundraising volunteer
  • The Boys and Girls Club of the Flathead Reservation and Lake County – Volunteer
  • North Dakota Special Olympics – Volunteer volleyball coach throughout high school and college

  • Associates Degree in Business Management and Marketing, Minnesota State University
  • BS in Business Management and Small Business Entrepreneurship, University of Phoenix
