I raise up my voice—not so I can shout, but so that those without a voice can be heard…we cannot succeed when half of us are held back.

Biography

Michelle was born in the South and grew up in West Palm Beach, Florida where she met her husband in high school. Getting married way too young, they lived for many years in Gainesville, Florida with the gators, swamp, and mosquitos. There she completed a college degree and started working in the non-profit world, doing grant writing and bookkeeping. Soon thereafter, they had two lovely and slightly magical children, Hazel and Rowan. Looking for a cooler climate, mountains, and a rural lifestyle, they sold their home and most of their possessions, packed a covered wagon, grabbed the kids and dog, and hit the road for the Wild West. The nomads landed in Polson, Montana, where Caleb, the hubs, grew up, buying land on the side of a mountain with a stunning view of the lake. Now, totally covered in sawdust, they are building a house from the ground up with mostly blood, sweat, and tears. They have been camping for an adventurous three years but maybe one day soon they will live in a real house.
