Biography
Richard, better known as Dickie, was born abroad in South Korea where his dad was in the US Army. Yep, he’s a “military brat.” Except Dickie is the exact opposite of a brat – rather one of the nicest, happiest guys you’ll ever meet, with an infectious smile and dimples to boot.
When Dickie was two years old, his family moved to Fort Campbell, Kentucky where his little brother was born. Then the Williamsons hopped over to Hopkinsville, Kentucky where they lived from 1980 to 1996. Grown enough to make his own moves, Dickie joined up with his brother and a friend in Portland, Oregon for five years until 2001. Oh, and then there was the two, or maybe three years he spent in Nashville he recalls…well, kind of. It helps to understand that Dickie was in a band. After assisting his ailing Mother for a time back in Kentucky, he received a call from “Big Sky Country.” It was his friends from Portland inviting him to, “come check out Montana!” And so, he did. Shortly thereafter, Dickie met his wife Jami, settled into the Montana lifestyle and they are now expecting their third child. When Dickie isn’t providing professional customer support and assistance, he enjoys music – played in a few bands (4), soccer, canoeing, fish slaying, camping, hunting, snowboarding and spending time with friends and family.
Small Town Story
It’s a common story of visitors to this great state, “I came to Montana just to visit, and never left. Small town Montana community characteristics are extremely alluring and valued by me and my family,” says Dickie.
