Tara Snyder

County Support Lead

Safety first, then teamwork.

– from the movie Pineapple Express

Tara is terrific with numbers and is all about the details. Having 12 years of experience in banking operations contributed greatly to refining her skills. Prior to joining Black Mountain Software in March 2014, Tara’s abilities benefited Community Bank in Ronan and Polson, Three Rivers Bank in Kalispell, and Treasure State Bank in Missoula. That’s a whole lot of banking, numbers, and details, and she didn’t rob a one. Tara says, “I just couldn’t do the time.” And it’s tough to do what she does best behind bars. Tara has a unique ability to truly connect with people and assist with their needs. Her care and concern are genuine – it’s a comforting, “small town” friendly approach. In February of 2014, during her commute to Missoula, Tara “connected” with a bear. “It was truly a sad day for me, and I decided the commute needed to end,” explains Tara. This was a bad accident for the bear, however a very good outcome for Tara and Black Mountain Software.

Tara will go to great lengths and travel far and wide to “crank it up” at a concert. She loves music, all genres. ‘Tara the Roadie’ could be her crew name, except she has a tough time choosing just one band. Tara’s favorite things, when she’s not jammin’ at a music venue, are reading, hiking, biking and spending quality time with family. She has two children, Tristan and Ceara.

Small Town Story

Tara moved to Polson from Libby – which is also a very nice Montana small town. And, both of these small towns boast picturesque scenery and are all about “small town” friendly. Tara has a sincere appreciation for the character and personal connections that smaller communities nurture. She says, “If I don’t know my neighbors, I’m feeling a bit uneasy.” Tara adds, “It’s really important to me to have a sense of connection.”
